Pushups are a very simple and effective exercise. They are easy to fit into your routines as they don’t take much time. They also work well towards toning and building muscle in your chest. In this post, I will talk you through the right technique. So that you can be sure that you’ll get the results you want.
The important thing to remember with pushups is you need the proper form and technique to really make the exercise work for you. Push ups will mainly focus on building muscle in your chest. Here I will give a step by step of how to do this properly.
Pushups – Technique
- You want to start on the floor with your palms flat and shoulder width apart or wider if you can.
- Try to keep your back straight.
- Hold your feet together.
- While inhaling bend your elbows to bring your torso near the floor. The lower you can go the better.
- Then push back up, exhaling while you do. Do this until your arms are back to full extension. Then repeat.
Remember to try and complete this movement slowly and tense your chest while completing the exercise so your body can really feel the benefit from the exercise.
