Sit ups are a fantastic exercise for your core muscle group. They are also an easy exercise to fit into your routine. To really get the most out of sit ups its best to learn the right technique. You may be thinking “what’s so hard about a sit up?” Well, there is more that goes into them then people realise. If you want to see great results from doing sit ups, continue reading.
So in this post, I will explain step by step how to complete a sit up, with the correct form. This is the form that I have used for many years. It has worked wonders for me. Sit ups will focus on your abdomen, adding strength to your core muscles. They also really help when it comes to toning your abs. I think they are a great exercise that everyone should be trying.
Sit ups – Technique
- Lie on your back with your knees bent and hands behind your head.
- Then using your stomach, lift your upper body towards your legs.
- Then slowly lower your upper body to the ground then repeat.
Try to maintain good posture while doing this exercise to avoid pain in your back, and try to keep the pacing slow and steady for each repetition. The reason for this is that it really gives your muscles more work to do. The more work your muscles do, the best your results will be. You should really use this as a good method for most exercise. Slow and steady movements will give results.
