When it comes to eating fruits its become very difficult to really know which ones are good for you and which one aren’t. Fruits really are the best way forward in a healthy and balanced diet, providing your body with essential nutrition to keep it working at its best. The problem is that there is such a wide choice of fruits and vegetables out there and its extremely hard to know what fruits contain the best nutrients. I have done research on this as I was very unsure if the fruits I was eating were really doing me much good. So I will share what I have found out.
Oranges – They contain high amounts of vitamin c and can even help lower cholesterol, oranges are a fantastic fruit to add to your five a day.
Bananas – Lowering the risk of high blood pressure and strokes makes bananas a great fruit. They are high in potassium and low in sodium.
Apples – A great source of fiber, and filled with antioxidants, maybe they really do keep the doctor away? Apples are a good addition to any healthy diet.
Strawberries – Another great source of vitamin c, with health benefits too, such as helping to control type 2 diabetes and lowering your risk of heart disease.
Blueberries – They have so many health benefits. Lowering risk of heart disease, controlling diabetes and keeping bones healthy are just a few of the many reasons you should include these in your meals.
These were just a few examples of what I found, the information out there on this is brilliant so I recommend looking it up if your interested in learning more. Please leave me comments and feedback, and if you’re enjoying what I’m posting please subscribe.
